If you would like to learn about the "when, where, and how" I photograph Virginia Tech, join me at the VT Alumni Association's popular "Drillfield Series", an arrangement of several weekend programs for alumni and their families centered on special themes and a stay on the Virginia Tech's campus. This year, the series include a special program "Focus on Photography, 2013". The program is a three-day course with invited instructors who will cover processing and editing photos and videos, as well as topics such as lenses, digital exposure, night photography, etc.
The program begins on Friday, May 10th and continues through Sunday, May 12th, 2013.

A presentation covering the technical and creative aspects of night photography, including starry night landscapes, star trails, and blue hour shooting. The session will include Q&A time, and then participants will head outside for some hands-on practice with a light painting session.
