Always wanted to try to watercolor some of my photos.

Football, Miami FL vs Virginia Tech. I used one of my photos from the game.

2016.10.20. Miami FL at VT.2016.10.20. Miami FL at VT.2016.10.20.
University of Miami (Canes, Hurricanes) at Virginia Tech (Hokies).
Lane Stadium, Blacksburg, VA.
Final score: Virginia Tech 37, UM 16.

Burruss Hall. I used the same photo that is on the cover of my photography book "Virginia Tech: A Pictorial Tour".

Duck Pond. For this watercolor I used a photo that I took back in 2014, I believe.

Interestingly, but not surprisingly, every time I tried to re-do my steps in rendering a watercolor, the result was different from the previous one. Here's one example. Same photo, different brush strokes and different filters.

by the way, just to give you some idea of the detail on the last render, here's a close-up...

That's it! Enjoy!

If you enjoy my photography, please consider purchasing a 2017 Virginia Tech Photo Calendar or my book of photography Virginia Tech: A Pictorial Tour. You will gain a wonderful showpiece on Virginia Tech to enjoy and, at the same time, enable me to continue with my photography. Just to clarify - I am NOT a professional photographer, just an amateur like yourself. Your support is really what is driving all of this.
