Yesterday, Virginia Tech marked the 8th anniversary of the April 16, 2007, through a number of campus-wide events honoring and remembering the 32 who lost their lives on that day. Despite the rain, the April 16 Memorial was visited by a steady stream of students, faculty, and alumni all day long. Commemoration events were book-ended by lighting and extinguishing of the Ceremonial Candle at midnight and just before midnight, respectively. The light from the Candle was carried back into Burruss Hall, representing the commitment to never forget. Here are a few photos from the memorial.
